Orlando Escorts: National and international news in brief

Pentagon shifts spy focus • The Pentagon will reorganize its spy service to target national security threats worldwide after a decade of focusing chiefly on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a senior defense official said Monday. The official said several hundred case officers and analysts at the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency would be shifted to the new Defense Clandestine Service.
Another falls in prostitution scandal • The Secret Service prostitution scandal grew Monday to include a 12th member of the U.S. military as the Pentagon suspended the security clearances of all the military personnel who have been implicated. The Secret Service also has taken action against 12 of its employees. Defense Department officials said the 12th military person involved was in Colombia in advance of President Barack Obama’s arrival for the Summit of the Americas and was assigned to the White House Communications Agency, which provides secure communications for the president.

Orlando Escorts: AP News in Brief at 11:58 pm EDT

The hearing wrapped up with a judge ruling Zimmerman can be released from jail on $150,000 bail while he awaits trial on second-degree murder charges. Zimmerman, who has been in jail for more than a week, could be out within days and may be allowed to live outside Florida for his own safety once arrangements are made to monitor him electronically.
Defendants often testify about their financial assets at bail hearings, but it is highly unusual for them to address the charges, and rarer still to apologize.
An attorney for Martin’s parents, who were in the courtroom when Zimmerman spoke, spurned the apology. The parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, had no comment as they left.

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) – A routine bail hearing for George Zimmerman took a surprising turn into remorse and explanation Friday when the neighborhood watch volunteer got on the witness stand and told Trayvon Martin’s parents: “I am sorry for the loss of your son.” ”I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not,” Zimmerman said, marking the first time he has spoken publicly about the Feb. 26 shooting of the unarmed black 17-year-old.
More Secret Service officers losing jobs
WASHINGTON (AP) — A government official briefed on the Secret Service investigation says the agency has implicated a 12th employee in the prostitution scandal. The employee has been placed on administrative leave. The official says two more agents are resigning Friday and another has been fired. It was 30 years ago that little Etan Patz’s photograph was plastered on milk cartons across the country. It was a dramatic shift in the way authorities would search for missing children. And now, decades later, police are using jackhammers to tear apart the New York basement of a man who met the boy the day before he disappeared. Cadaver dogs have picked up a scent.

Orlando Escorts: Couple sentenced for transporting minor for prostitution

A man and a woman from Tennessee have been sentenced to almost six years in federal prison each for transporting a minor to engage in prostitution.

A man and a woman from Tennessee have been sentenced to almost six years in federal prison each for transporting a minor to engage in prostitution. Jessica M. Lidy, 22, and Jarrod S. Sanford, 31, both of Friendship, Tenn., pleaded guilty to the crime in December. Senior U.S. District Judge Richard Mills sentenced both Lidy and Sanford to 71 months in prison — Lidy on Monday and Sanford on Friday. According to affidavits filed in support of complaints against the pair, Lidy invited a 15-year-old girl  she had met on Facebook to accompany her on a trip with Sanford, who Lidy claimed was her father. Lidy allegedly told the girl that she made money as an escort traveling with her father and was willing to split her earnings if the girl would accompany them on a t …

Orlando Escorts: Obama Media Pushes Law Enforcement as Embarrassment

Seems if the particular scandal has legs and can potentially make America look bad Obama is all over it.
My attitude with respect to the Secret Service personnel is no different than I expect out of my delegation sitting here. We’re representing the people of the United States. And that means that we conduct ourselves with the utmost dignity and probity…What’s been reported doesn’t match up with those standards.
Interesting choice of words, Mr. President. “What’s been reported doesn’t match up with those standards?”
It begs the question who is reporting? Who are the real whores selling themselves to push Obama’s disdain for American law enforcement? Here’s a sampling of a lap dancing press pushing the President’s propaganda. Well, this is “embarrassing”:

Charlotte Observer
: An embarrassing scandal involving prostitutes and Secret Service agents deepened Saturday as 11 agents were placed on leave.

Orlando Escorts: Lawyers in Zimmerman case boast years of experience

He also gets high marks for his courtroom demeanor. “Mark has a very calming way about him,” said Orlando attorney Diana Tennis, a colleague and friend. “He’s known as being very collegial. That’s how you get good deals for your clients.”
But O’Mara can be a shrewd tactician. In 1992, O’Mara defended Gerard Booker, the ringleader of a Polk County gang accused of murdering two men. With a potential death sentence looming, O’Mara advised his client to plead guilty and waive a jury trial on the death penalty, leaving the decision to the judge alone. The judge gave Booker a life sentence.
“He really saved his client’s life,” said Ashton, the prosecutor on the case.
O’Mara also has had his share of difficult clients. Among them: Frederick Pete Cox, a suspected serial killer of prostitutes who for years pretended to be paralyzed and refused to move his legs. Cox is serving three life terms in prison.

Orlando Escorts: Zimmerman’s lawyer seeks to limit pre-trial publicity

George Zimmerman’s lawyer seeks to limit pretrial publicity
“He’s going to try the case in court, not in the press, and I admire that,” said Jeff Ashton, who retired last year as the lead homicide prosecutor for the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office. “I don’t expect to see Mark out there giving his opinion [on TV] as much as some other attorneys have in past, high-profile criminal cases.”
Ashton and O’Mara opposed each other in the 2001 trial of serial killer Frederick Peter Cox, who murdered three prostitutes and tried to kill two other women, and in state and federal trials over execution-style killings known as the 1992 Kissimmee carjacking murders. O’Mara’s clients were convicted in both cases.
“He’s very smart, works very hard, and he’s very professional in the way he does his job,” Ashton said.
