A Seminole County teacher suspended for playing lewd rap music in class apologized Friday, saying it was an accident. Orlando Escorts: Florida reading teacher is suspended for playing rap songs in class

Heather Michelle New, who teaches at Crooms Academy of Information Technology in Sanford, is serving a five-day suspension without pay that began Wednesday and continues through Monday.
Ron Pinnell, head of personnel for Seminole County schools, said an investigation after receiving complaints revealed that New, 32, played two inappropriate rap songs to her class last month.
Crooms Academy received national recognition last year for its on-spot technology when it was named “Most Connected Classroom” in the country by U.S. News & World Report. But raunchy rap songs were not what district officials had in mind for the school to be plugged into digitally.
One of the songs New played in class was “Rack City” by rapper Tygra, a song dealing with drugs, sex and prostitution that repeatedly uses a disparaging reference to blacks. The song contains at least three dozen inappropriate words or phrases, including a reference to sex with a grandmother.

Orlando Escorts: Tased man lost pants in fight with Orlando officers, police dog, cops say

A man linked to teen prostitution brushed off multiple stun-gun shocks and lost his pants as he attacked officers and police dog before his arrest Sunday in a swamp near Interstate 4 in Orlando’s tourist district, police said.

Rodriguez was charged with three counts of battery on a law-enforcement officer, two counts of resisting arrest with violence, battery on a police service animal and resisting an officer. He was being held Tuesday at the Orange County Jail on no bond. A police report said officers were assisting the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office look for a missing juvenile Rodriguez may have forced into prostitution when they found his vehicle parked outside the Metropolitan Express Hotel on International Drive. They said after Rodriguez and the juvenile left the hotel and got into his vehicle, officers approached in an attempt to arrest him. At one point, Rodriguez jumped out of the vehicle and he pushed an officer away who tried to tackle him. He ignored an officer’s comma …

Orlando Massage Parlors: Midwestern Transmissions: Silo Halo Tour Diary Day 2

To our dismay, the Motown Museum is closed on Sundays, but dinner was waiting for us at Asim’s house in Ferndale: daal, brown rice and salad. Asim = Awesome. He fed us several times, housed us, made tea for us, set up the show and became my new favorite person. The show was at a place called The Loving Touch, which used to be a massage parlor and still has the original (suggestive?) flashing signs above the stage area (which I’m told usually houses a foosball table). It also has a green corner with a glass ceiling and wall plants. There are about ten pool tables and a bar with half-price drinks for bands that amounted to next to nothing compared to D.C. prices. We drank many WAB Raspberry Blonde ales that are brewed on that same block.

Orlando Escorts: Update on the latest news, sports, business and entertainment

Chief Rick Myers said Friday he wants to help heal the emotional wounds caused by the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in February by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. He says he will reach out to people in Sanford who feel they’ve been ignored by the police.
Myers was appointed the interim chief until city officials decide the future of former Police Chief Bill Lee.
Lee stepped aside on a temporary basis after Martin’s death to let emotions cool down.
Authorities say 17-year-old Martin died during a fight with Zimmerman, who claims self-defense and has pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge.

Orlando Escorts: Zimmerman Made Disparaging Remarks About Mexicans on MySpace Page

A MySpace page has surfaced that shows Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman made disparaging remarks about Mexicans and boasted about escaping from legal problems. While the page is dated from 2005 and has not been used for some time, lawyers on both sides say the social media page could become a factor in the case against Zimmerman, who is accused of shooting the unarmed African-American teenager in Sanford, Florida, on February 26. The page, titled, “only to be a king again,” shows Zimmerman sounding off against Mexicans and celebrating his evasion of charges after a fight with a law enforcement officer. In a possible reference to an alleged 2005 domestic violence incident, Zimmerman also uses a disparaging slang word for prostitute against his former girlfriend. Benjamin Crump, a lawyer for Trayvon Martin’s family, says the page shows Zimmerman has a history of racial profiling.
